Take an explosive modern rock band, influenced by the melodies of generations that went before, the blues of Peter Green, the intensity of Cream, fronted with stylish pop of the Hollies and the mod Small Faces and what have you got? Two Richey's, Andy and Howard = Harry Dash
The year started off with a bang and a flash for these four young musicians from West Central Florida. First, with the release of their critically acclaimed Harry Dash EP CD, which found oustanding praise from MTV on-line and The Weekly Planet. This was quickly attended by Clubwebradio's amazingly attended "Alive and Kicking" showcase at St Petersburg's renowned Jannus Landing. From there things just got bigger and better when the band made appearances to huge crowds at 98ROCK's Livestock, 102.5 St Petersburg Downtown Music Series Street Party and another great Jannus Landing show. Recognizing Harry Dash's Tampa Bay achievements, promoter "No Clubs" put Harry Dash on the bill with Fastball who at the time had America's number one modern rock hit "The Way". Half way through the year the Dashers, with their raw power show, found themselves ..."being well received in Orlando" much to the delight of their Orlando fans. Harry Dash had become a state wide band performing at Florida's most prominent venues : Sapphire Supper Club, Go Lounge and Barbarella's on Orange Ave, St Petersburg's historic State Theatre, The Rubb, Ybor City, Tampa and Gasoline Alley, Clearwater. Even while taking time off to record new songs for their next cd project Harry Dash was invited to play the famous House of Blues and again reinvited for a weekend stint. Harry Dash's future looks bright and in the music industry's fast changing world their music looks set to endure. |
